The subject of a missing person search in West Vancouver has been found deceased by an RCMP dive team, police say.
After a 30-year-old male was reported missing on Nov. 25, West Vancouver Police led a search on the land and water focused in the Horseshoe Bay, Whytecliff Park and Copper Cove areas. The marine recovery was conducted Friday afternoon.
"Although a full determination has yet to be made, West Vancouver Police do not believe that criminality was involved in the man’s death. The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is also investigating," WVPD said in a statement.
"The West Vancouver Police sends their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and thanks everyone who was involved in the search," the department said.
