One of the highest-rated airlines in the world will hold a hiring fair in Vancouver this week.
Emirates is one of two flagship airlines in the United Arab Emirates (the other is Etihad Airways) and was rated the fourth-best airline in the World's Top 100 Airlines for 2021 by SkyTrax — the international air transport rating organization.
The Dubai-based airline will hold recruitment days for its cabin crew from July 6 to 24 across major Canadian cities, including Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.
Local applicants can visit the Vancouver Open Day at Hilton Vancouver Metrotown on Friday, July 8 starting at 9 a.m.
The airline says it is looking for people "who are passionate about delivering simple yet personalized and impeccable hospitality while creating memorable moments for its customers."
Additionally, Emirates says an ideal candidate will be able to take control when managing aircraft services, security, and safety procedures.
New recruits will receive a "world-class learning experience at the airline’s state-of-the-art facility in Dubai," according to the airline.
To be considered for the job, Emirates hopefuls must submit their curriculum vitae (CV) in English with a recent photograph. The airline advises them to pre-register for a "smoother experience." If they don't register beforehand, however, they may also do so as walk-ins on "Open Day."
Candidates must be prepared to spend a full day at the venue. Shortlisted candidates will be "informed of timings for further assessments and interviews on the same day."
The airline says it has a broad range of development programmes for its employees and offers an "attractive employment package" in Dubai. The benefits include a tax-free salary, free company-provided accommodation, free transport to and from work, excellent medical coverage, and exclusive discounts on shopping and leisure activities in Dubai.
Additionally, employees will enjoy concessional travel benefits for themselves, their families, and their friends.
Emirates has been operating in Canada for 15 years and currently offers five weekly flights from Toronto. It services over 130 cities on six continents and operates a fleet of over 200 all wide-body aircraft.
The airline is the largest global operator of the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380 aircraft.
