While you might be scrambling for a last-minute Halloween costume, the largest Christmas store in Western Canada has already decked the halls with boughs of holly.
Cue the sugar plums, turtledoves, and even the "partridge in a pear tree," the holiday season is off and running at The Christmas Store in Surrey.
Each year, the 28,000-square-foot Potters Nursery & Garden Centre transforms into a holiday shopping mecca complete with a veritable smorgasbord of decorations that come in all shapes, sizes, themes, makes, and prices.
The Potters team says they spend the entire year searching the globe for unique merchandise, which makes their selection so diverse. Some of the items include ornaments, designer trees, collectibles, stocking stuffers, food items, and much more.
Glean decorating inspiration from the Merry & Bright, Red & White front entrance display, greeting visitors with thousands of glimmering red and white ornaments. Then, venture into the 3,000-square-foot Dark Room, illuminated by more than 75 different Christmas-themed canvas paintings and over 60 different Christmas-themed water lanterns.
The Dark Room has an array of themed tree-light sets, including favourites like The Grinch, Star Wars, Peanuts, Christmas Vacation, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and even retro Bubble Lights.
The massive shop also includes an impressive inventory of toys, jigsaw puzzles, games, Coca-Cola collectibles (including ornaments and figures), Christmas stockings (more than 50 styles), and unique items for those hard-to-buy-for adults.
For the foodies in your life, the Gourmet Food area offers thousands of rare and special products, including multiple flavors of popcorn, hot chocolate, jams and sauces (including irresistible ice cream sauces like Butter Tart Caramel). They are also offering new specialty product lines including Cranberries Naturally from Fort Langley, farm-direct B.C. honey, and classic mince tarts from Scotland.
Potters' also has a section stocked with all pet-themed stockings, cushions, and ornaments called "Petland." Visitors will also find gnomes and elves of every price range in their own designated room.

The Christmas Store at Potters is located at 19158 48th Ave. in Surrey. It is open daily through Dec. 24 on Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Holidays and event day hours: They will be open on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m.
