DARTMOUTH, N.S. — Halifax police are investigating the death of a man who suffered gunshot wounds early Sunday morning.
Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired in Dartmouth around 3 a.m. Sunday and found two people with gunshot wounds.
A man and a woman were taken to hospital, and the man died of his injuries.
The Nova Scotia medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of his death.
The woman's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Halifax Regional Police officers will have a visible presence at the scene in the area of Lahey Road and Clarence Street in Dartmouth as the investigation continues.
