The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) has provided a list of locations and dates for walk-in coronavirus (COVID-19) immunization clinics across the Lower Mainland.
As B.C. moves toward the fourth step in the province's reopening plan (slated to go into effect no earlier than September 7), efforts to get British Columbians fully vaccinated have manifested in drop-in, mobile or special event clinics across the province, including locally in and around Vancouver in both Vancouver Coastal Health and the Fraser Health regions.
Here is a complete map of where and when those clinics are within Metro Vancouver. Some clinics have not yet announced times of operation, for updates be sure to check the BCCDC’s website.
Those planning on going to a drop-in clinic should bring a photo ID and will get either Pfizer or Moderna. If you're getting dose 2, you're encouraged to also bring your immunization record card.
One such initiative is Walk-in Wednesday planned for August 4. Walk-in meaning you don't need to register online or phone before you arrive. All those 12 and up are eligible for dose 1 and all people vaccinated before June 16 are eligible for dose 2.
The BCCDC has also come up with a way to share your gratitude to frontline workers by creating a thank you letter template.
“Share a thank you letter or a note of gratitude for the thousands of frontline workers who kept us safe during the pandemic and worked to get us all vaccinated,” the BCCDC’s website reads. “Post them on your window at home, leave a note after getting vaccinated or share messages online.”
