Members of the Coquitlam Art Club will have their work for show and sale in the annual fall show in the Centennial Room at the Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free. There will be live art demos and free draws for prizes.

Praguery opens
The new café in the Town Centre Park Community Centre (1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, officially opens its doors at 10 a.m. And the first 10 customers in The Praguery will get a $50 gift card plus a complimentary box of four cream puffs and coffee/hot chocolate. As well, a free hot beverage and chimney cake will be handed out to the next 10 customers while the 21st to 50th patrons will get a free hot drink. The Coquitlam café is The Praguery's first permanent shop.

SHARE toy drive
Between noon and 4 p.m., drop off new and unwrapped items at Coquitlam Centre mall (2929 Barnet Hwy.) for the SHARE Family and Community Services' toy drive, for families in need. The kiosk is located on Level 2 by Walmart and H&M. There will be activities and holiday-theme photos.

Miracle on 34th
See the POMO Players in the play Miracle on 34th Street at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Inlet United Church (2315 Spring St., Port Moody). Directed by Lisa Pope, the show is adapted by Mountain Community Theater from the novel by Valentine Davies. It is the inaugural production for the new community theatre troupe.

Salsa steps
The Salsa Dance Zone hosts a Salsa dance lesson at 8 p.m. — followed by a dance party until midnight — at St. Clare’s Hall in Coquitlam (2888 Delahaye Dr.). Admission is $15 at the door.
