Called Sage Hills Estate Winery, the property offers a mix of a stunning home with an infinity pool overlooking Okanagan Lake and a popular winery with organic vineyards and a tasting room on site.
Located on the outskirts of Summerland (about 30 km south of Kelowna, though the lake makes the drive longer), the estate winery is listed for $12.9 million, or about the same as a mid-range mansion in the Vancouver neighbourhood of Shaughnessy.
It was actually going for $13.9 million earlier this year, but $1 million was shaved off the price.
With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, there's plenty of living space in the 4,576 square foot house itself, which includes a 270-degree view of the lake, a home theatre, and the aforementioned infinity pool.
Along with the vineyards, the winery includes wine-making equipment, a tasting room (also with spectacular views), and a huge patio for hosting events.
The winery has already been in business for over a decade, and—according to the listing—staff are willing to stay on after the sale. The vines were planted in 2006, and the wines went into production in 2012.
It's a small winery, currently focusing on organic, vegan wines; they also have a large solar power-generating setup.
