Port Moody Coun. Rick Glumac announced Wednesday he intends to run for re-election this fall.
Glumac was first elected in 2011 and said in a press release that he wants to represent PoMo residents as the city transitions with the arrival of the Evergreen Line in 2016.
"As the city develops, we need to protect and expand our treasured green and waterfront spaces, look at reducing traffic congestion and focus on building a walkable community and vibrant local economy."
Glumac has chaired the city's Environmental Protection and Community Care committees as well as the Heritage Commission. He's also on Metro Vancouver's Zero Waste Committee, the Fraser Health Municipal Government Advisory Committee and the Tri-Cities Regional Transportation Committee.
